Spring is the time for shedding some of those extra winter pounds and of course, trying new smoothie recipes!
Adding spices into our diet (and smoothies) are a gentle way to remind the body to increase circulation. They invite the body to move more and are invigorating. Spices are also great sources of antioxidants which promote healthy cellular aging. One advantage to spices? You just add them to your food/drink and there is no prep required. One of the easiest ways to add them into the diet, is to add them to drinks.
1 cup of almond milk (unsweetened or vanilla)
10 organic raspberries (rinsed carefully)
1 tbsp tahini
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1/8 tsp ground cardamom
1/8 tsp of ground turmeric
1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
Add all ingredients into a blender and mix for 30 seconds. Serve immediately – for one 🙂
